I want to move from reliance to airtel or trueroots before deciding on vonage. Can someone tell me as how good is airtel 1c/min offer? hows the quality to india and other countries?

I tried airtel and then moved back to Reliance and ReliableCalling. Airtel number wouldn't connect regularly. Reliance call quality is good but expensive. ReliableCalling is almost as good as reliance but 50% less expensive.
And now, proud subscriber of Vonage. Use ReliableCalling for that occasional call from cellphone.

I concluded the same ( Though never posted that analysis :)) But It looks like we are missing a very critical point - we are assuming that " these pending numbers are the total 485 workload USCIS has" but I referred a different chart on USCIS board and it looks like there is a separte hoard of "preadjudicated" applications already sitting in a queue apart from these numbers. Got RFE for Employer Letter, Missing Vaccination and G325. Replied on Apr 30, 2009

The last updated on my and wife's files were on 05/12/2009 (after the RFE Respnose)
I Went to the Local USCIS center on 08/02/2010. IO mentioned that Name check and FBI check had cleared. But he could not tell if my case was assigned to an IO. He asked me to open an SR. I called the 1-800 number and opened an SR on 08/03/10. I got a standard email from USCIS for the SR I opened, on 08/11/2010. It said that my case and my wife's were both were under review and it would take up to 60 days for them to process it.
On 08/13/2010 8.03 CST, I got a SMS on my cell that My case status was updated. I had received that Card Production was ordered on 08/12/2010.
Now, I am waiting on my wife's approval.

Other guys, I am not angry with you. We are all on the same boat and not to fight here. Its frustration.
H1 visas or F1 Visas or for that matter many of such things.. Why do you really think they exist.
To help people like you and me to lead a different life style or to benefit the US??
Why do you think so many many people were allowed during the Y2K thing. To make us realize our American dreams??.. You heard me.
If you go by statistics, PhD holders in this country are mostly from outside. Same case with Masters. You will see not that many Bachelors though. Why do MS, INtel, Oracle etc etc strees so much on H1s.
Let it be not real, BUT when you say we are ALL going back with disappointment, the system will look at it differently. The system is broken as top US companies agree. Like most people here too agree. Yes, there will be people who say there are more people and less jobs or taking away the jobs. But did they stop the H1 or F1 program, NO.
SO we must raise a voice to repair the GC system. Who thought all this S* when we applied in 01 or 02.

Is the ITIN Number the same as the SSN?
Sometimes we read too much into these forms, and I too am guilty of doing the same.
Take the case of filing the affidavit of support - I-134, I-864. So much debate, but no clear answer.

Or the case of providing tax returns, w2s etc
As per the instructions, none of these documents are required.
Just go by what is in the instructions, read the questions in the form carefully and answer them honestly, to the best of your knowledge and ability.
If the USCIS needs more information, they will write to you.

I am seeing people getting multiple #A numbers and delays.
If you have filed multiple I485s, pls share your expiences here.
You mean you know of some people who filed multiple 485s in July/August and have got 2 different A#s?
We are still waiting for a response for our second application (filed in Aug). We had A#s on our I-140s so mentioned the same A#s on both applications and also noted in the second filing that one is already pending.

Any benefit in filing 485 on the first week of June versus last week of June? Any FIFO implications?
Yes, the I485 filing fee will be tripled anytime, the longer U wait the more likely it is you have to pay the increased fee. If you are family of 4 it will be 4K just in visa fee + Medical + lawyer fee...etc:(

What's wrong happening in PD porting case ?? Original beneficiary is able to get a visa allocated to him by claiming he was or is eligible for EB-2 ? Where is fraud in this and as you said if law allows it and what's wrong... The point was about abusing the system to get ahead in the line. In that way labor sub shares similarity with PD porting. If a person who landed yesterday fits the job profile and the law allowed it , then what's wrong.
On the other hand if those labor are sold for a price then it is serious problem. And thats why Lab Sub was eleminated. Now thats what is going to happen (and happening) in PD porting case.

USCIS is not prepared for anything. if this works then great. if not i tried didn't work out.... :)
My attorney told me that there are several July 2 cases they have not heard back about, although they got receipts for July 19 and later cases long time ago. They told that they are making a formal enquiry. How do they do that I don't know.
I just hope that it is just a normal RIRO, not a lost bundle of applications which was originally marked for rejection/return.

I whole heartedly support this campaign and will be doing my bit too. just a few thoughts:
1. In the draft letter to president, the line "Reinstate premium processing of
Immigrant Petitions." is a bit ambigous and dosent specify which petition.
Shouldnt it read "Reinstate premium processing of I-140 Immigrant Petitions."
2. Also shouldnt the goals be in the order of ease of acheivability. Many of the
more difficult (though more powerful) goals are at the top wheras items like
reinstating I-140 premium proessing are at the bottom.
What do you folks think..?

AP can be used to re-enter and you can continue on your H1 if it is valid. Your H1 is invalidated only if you use EAD.
I just came back to US using AP, I had booked an appointment for Visa interview. But after seeing the PIMS mess I decided to use AP. It was very smooth and easy.

Now the only way to use AP is to withdraw our visa applications, get the passports, and fly back. I will resort to this ifthe passports are not returned by the coming weekend. Chennai consulate sucks!!
