I loved the keynote. Steve's excitement was palpable - he really believes this is the next big thing. Let's give him a little credit here.
I would be willing to bet the next month will be announcement after announcement of upgrades and updates.
Apple is getting stronger and stronger as a company and that is good for the mac and us.

recently purchased a used 3g iphone....got it restored sort of...now it's stuck in a reboot loop.....the :apple: logo comes on the loading bar comes across the under the :apple: logo and it starts all over again.. have tried tiny umbrella and no go....and some one even tried a custom restore....should i cut the losses and give the phone the boot or is there still hope?..........i'm new at this so PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!:(

Besides pricing yourself too low and underestimating the time needed to pull-off a project, I picked up on this (your quote).
If you're going to be a professional graphic designer, it's time you got your filing/archiving system down. As you saw on that phone call, a little fumbling around and disorganization doesn't reflect wel and gives your nightmare clients the opportunity to belittle you. Don't give them that opportunity. Be organized.
One final thing. Phone time is meeting time. Meeting time is billable. Especially when the phone calls are over 1/3 of your billable time.
And good luck with the career. :)

The guy kind of threw me with the sudden weekend call. You're right about the phone time too. Dont count HD out as of yet SONY has recieved 2-3 pieces of very bad news.
1. A High Court in the UK has ordered SONY to disolve its merger with BMG.
Fighting this could cost valuable resources.
If they lose, the cost of breakup could well put SONY under. Remember BETAMAX. Yes, I know SONY/BMG is the music arm of the company-but it will be a drain on the whole company.
2. The chipmakers for the PSP3 are having a bitch of a time making any that are worth using in the player-they have a 1 out of 5-6 usable chip ratio.
The rest get used in other less demanding hardware, or get tossed out-. SONY still pays for them-good or not-talk about bleeding.
They are very expensive.
3. Poor PQ reviews, the lack of BR2 (yes folks youve been had-the current discs -or BR1- are not the 'final' version, those COULD be out by November, optimistically-they were rushed out so they could say "Were first!"
They are said to be 'fine tuning' the "real" BR2 disc spec and manufacture.
Translation-it isnt working very well, like the PSP chips.

Thanks, Huntn. Good post. Here are my thoughts on your ideas:
There is a long term move to dismantle government social programs and who needs the truth when we can lie? You know we can't afford you social program and your school because we have these billion, thats B-I-L-L-I-O-N dollar bombers that need building.
This is all very simplistic, but here goes:
1. Reform Health care- one illness from bankruptcy is not acceptable for a developed country. Health care should have never been turned into a profit machine along the same lines that you don't want your police and firemen as for-profit enterprises. The larger the pool the smaller the costs.

Providing health services and goods has always been a for-profit enterprise. This is exactly what has lead to the amazing growth in medical technology in the past 100 years.
2. Cut programs before lowering taxes especially on the rich- you can't balance a budget if you have no income. If you must lower taxes, you must first cut the programs and deal with the popular unrest before cutting any taxes. This is exactly what the champion of the Republican Party did not do- Reagan, he cut taxes but not programs and this country ran the first substantial deficits since WWII.
I tend to agree. Cut programs until our expenses match our current 'revenues.' When the two are equal or are in the black, let's immediately pass an balanged-budget amendment so this problem never happens again.
3. Progressive Tax policies are a must- The rich are rich. Make them pay their fair share. They can afford it. Cutting their taxes to create jobs is mostly a conservative smoke screen to **** over average citizens.
For the record, they are paying their fair share. The top 50% of wage earners pay over 95% of the income tax. Your disgusting attack on all conservatives wanting to '****' over all citizens is just that... disgusting.
4. Stop allowing the Exportation of Jobs- If you want to keep a standard of living. Lowering the standard of living reduces income and tax revenues.
How? Trade embargo's? Certainly you understand that increasing taxation on the wealthy and corporations certainly won't help.
5. Enact policies that support a strong Middle Class- instead of wiping it out for the sake of the rich. A strong middle class powers the economy.
Lower taxes? Strong business climate with low unemployment? You seem to be contradicting yourself... what strong middle class policies are you specifically talking about?
6. Search High and Low for Corruption- No system will work if it's corrupt. Submitting thousands of fradulent Medicare claims is hurting us.
I agree. I would start with a MASSIVE simplification of the tax code, and virtual elimination of all government subsidies over the next 5-10 years.

I have always used my iphone 4 with the supplied USB cable. Yesterday when I plugged it i I got the yellow triangle symobol & the message
"charging is not supported with this accessory".
I have tried all the USB connections on my PC and still the same message.

I don't think that I'm physically able to give blood.
I had to get 2 of those small vials they use for blood tests, and I couldn't even walk and passed out. That is not a lot of blood.
I don't weigh very much (107 lbs 5'8"). Is this normal or something about which I should be concerned?

Apple should really diversify their suppliers anyway, which is what they look like they are doing. Cut Samsung supply by 50%, and threaten all of it if they don't get their act together. Surely Samsung doesn't think that that they can bring in this kind of revenue on their own merit. Outside of LCD televisions, Samsung has an image problem, and even that has only improved in the last few years.
