I had similar situation few years back after my I-140 approved, but before applying I-485.
As long as your job title, description and place of work won't change, then you are ok. When you apply I485 or H1B ext, then your attorney must submit a document (successor of interest or similar document), telling that your role and place don't change.

I got my H1B Petition approved and have been working on OPT status since August. I made a Visa appoitment for tommorow and while taking the appointment I chose the Visa Renewal category instead of a new H1B visa.
My interview is tommorow and I am not able to change or cancel the date as in Delhi it needs to be done 2 working days before.
I want to know if anyone has gone though a similar experience and what should I do?

I have no US visa stamped in my passport and planning to fly Emirates to India via Dubai. I will use AP for re-entry. Do I need transit visa at Dubai like London and other European Airports? Response from anyone with experience will be appreciated. If already discussed here, guidance to particular forum will help.
I have traveled by Emirates several times (last year was the recent one) and they did NOT require a transit visa.

Under the new law, lobbyists are prohibited from providing gifts, food, beverage and travel to Members of Congress, their staff or employees. A violation of this law could result in civil fines and/or criminal prosecution for the Company and individuals involved.

I don't think it is necessary to renew his passport in India. I heard though they suggest having 6 month of passport validity, POE will let you in even if the passport is going to expire the next day. At the time of entry the passport they are carrying should be valid.
I read this in a blog but use it at your own discretion.
BTW is your son is on H4? How could he be able to come to US on 1st Sep 2009 when the H1B expired on 14th Jan 2009? (or is it a typo and should be read as 14th Jan 2010)

I am in the same situation.. send docs to Dallas lockbox.
Applied for EAD renewal and documents reached on May7th.. checks not cased yet. I think the whole lockbox is creating the delays but one they get to your application it is relatively quick.
Do let me know when your checks are cased.

1) Why TSC is late in issuing receipt compared to NSC?
2) Looks like more applicaiton were filed at NSC than at TSC, Why?
3) Why even then TSC is late in issuing reciept?
4) Which one is faster in approving 485, TSC or NSC?
5) Does any body know how many application each service center recieved during the VB fiasco?

Hi Members,
I am pretty new to the forum. I thought you must be helpful answering my questions because attorneys in my company provided are not helpful.
My attorneys filed Labor with the missing job information like in the allien job experience section. i saw the the current job start date is wrong then the job 2 is put with the wrong dates. Job 3 is not there. I got a audit as ******** is my attorney as special audit. when I contacted they said its electronically filed then can't change. They will take care in later stage.Then THE LABOR IS CERTIFIED. Now I see nothing has been taken care. they are filing I-140.
Now my question is if i get RFE in I-140 in future and I send the experience letters obviously which will be different date( as labor is approved with aliens wrong info in experince).
PLEASE members let me know the complication.. am getting really worried..Let me know what to do.

You will be using XNA Game Studio (installs into Visual Studio), to develop games. All your time other than for graphics will be spent in Visual Studio 2010. Highly recommend you have a device. Testing in the emulator is not the greatest for games.
Note: All you need is the freely available tools (Express Editions). Having the student or paid versions does not really benefit those using the XNA Game Studio, or building applications for WP7. I'm sure that page says that, just didn't want you to get confused.
If you have done any other game programming you will find everything pretty easy, just takes a bit to get use to. It sounds like you are new to C#, but don't worry most tutorials are setup in a way this shouldn't be a problem.
The MSDN Create site has code samples and there are lengthy tutorials online that will help you get started with XNA.

1. Did the house already pass its version of CIR bill?
I believe there will be a conference committee consisting of few house and senate members and they will come up with a bill version acceptable to both house and senate. then the bill will be voted.
So what is the time frame we are looking at to get the final bill out.. Any idea?
Even thought I am a frequent visitor of IV.org, and stuck in backlog for years.. I do not know exactly how it works.. I will really appreciate any educated guesses.
